HOW TO PLAY

steflight synthesizer — a light instrument you play

StefLight isn't a video you watch — it's an instrument you play. Move, paint, and tweak to create your own hypnotic light show.

THE ONE THING TO KNOW

Press and drag — with your finger on a touchscreen, or hold the mouse button and move on a computer. Light trails follow your every move, folded into symmetry. Let go to stop painting and let the trails fade.

OPEN THE CONTROLS

Tap the gear ⚙ in the top corner to open the control panel. At the very top are PRESETS — one tap jumps to a completely different look. Start there: try classic, ribbons, tunnel, dots and kaleido.

SHAPE THE LOOK

shape
the form that gets painted — orbs, stars, blooms, ribbons…
sym-mode
how it repeats: radial kaleidoscope, mirror, grid, or free painting
folds
how many mirrored copies fan out
motion
how the light travels — spiral, orbit, wave and more
palette
the colour family
background
the scene behind — plasma, aurora, tunnel, stars

BRING IT TO LIFE

depth / zoom
make the whole scene rush toward you or fall away
particles
swirling flecks of light that follow your touch
oscillators
auto-movement — set them going and it performs itself, hands-free
auto-paint
paints on its own — tap to cycle off / layer 1 / layer 2. Touch any time to take over.

PLAY WITH MUSIC

In the panel under AUDIO REACT, choose ♪ mic to make the visuals throb to music playing in the room, or ♫ music file to load a track from your device for tight, precise reactivity. Tap ✕ off to stop — the microphone is fully released and never listens in the background.

The throb amount slider sets how much the music drives the visuals while you stay in control.

Tip: the loveliest sessions come from picking a preset, putting on some music, then slowly moving your finger and nudging one or two sliders. Less is more — small moves, big light.

⚠ This experience contains moving lights, flashing and rapidly changing colours. If you are sensitive to flashing visuals, please take care.
